Practical questions about footage.
Sending files, ownership, consent and who can sign.
We review what you tell us about the footage. If it may fit, we get in touch to discuss the material, the original files and the people on camera before requesting a transfer.
No. The first step is a short description of what you hold. We request no footage until we have discussed the material and how it was recorded.
We ask about it first. Guardian consent is one of the things we check together before any footage moves.
Tell us either way. If they don't, we work out with you what would need to change.
It can. Some platforms' terms limit what a team may do with film downloaded from them, so we ask which one you use and, where the terms matter, ask for your original files.
For a team or club, it should be someone authorised to discuss the footage and agree the specific terms. An individual athlete can answer for footage they recorded and hold themselves.
