Film from rugby training.
Contact drills, set pieces and conditioning sessions, filmed by the club's fixed cameras.
What we look for
- Fixed cameras at training
- Contact drills, set pieces and conditioning sessions.
Camera restrictions
World Rugby Regulation 12 lets a player wear a player monitoring device, a GPS unit or an instrumented mouthguard, that meets World Rugby's specification, and bars any other item whose non-padding parts are thicker than 2 mm uncompressed. A chest-worn camera is neither, so in rugby we look at film from fixed cameras.
What we ask each club
- Who owns the training film: the club, its academy or a league?
- If academy players are on camera, is there guardian consent for each of them?
- Do player releases mention AI training?
- Where is the film stored? Some video platforms' terms limit what a club may do with film downloaded from them, and then we ask for the original files.
Nothing moves until we have gone through these with you.
